East River Greenway

East and North of East High School
[+] East High as seen from the bridge connecting to the Baird Creek trail.	The river contrasts with East High school but the trail also provides teaching opportunities.
	This section of trail includes information about various species of trees.	There is a break west of the VanderPerren Trail where no green space is developed along the river.
[+] The portion of trail east from Baird Street behind East High School is named for Cora Vander Perren.
Between Main Street and the Fox River
[+] The trail is offset as it crosses Monroe Avenue.
[+] The Monroe Avenue bridge is more picturesque when seen from the trail than from the street.		The Flatley memorial was temporarily relocated to the trail at Monroe Street from its original site in the old Flatley Park. Later it was moved again to the new Flatley Park.
Along the lower East River, south of the mills.
[+] Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill across the East River.	[++] Where the East River empties into the Fox, the trail connects with the Fox River trail.
South from East High School to Bellevue
The trail continues behind the stadium in Joannes Park and through Meyer Park to East Mason Street.
[+] The trail crosses the East River on the Mason Street bridge. This view is looking east over the bridge toward where the trail crosses Mason Street.	[+] South of Mason Street, this landscaped entry area welcomes walkers and riders.
	[+] Scenic overlooks are available along the river's edge.
[+] In addition to the primary trail through Van Beaver Park, an alternate trail provides more natural vistas.
	[+] The trail was developed to the city limits in 2009. Beyond, in Bellevue, lies KI industries.
