History of Green Bay's Parks

Marquette Park

On February 12, 1934, a 2-year land contract was entered into between the City of Green Bay and owners of property where this park is presently located. It contains 7.9 acres bordered by Eighth Street, Nicolet Ave., Hickory Hill and Gross Ave.

1969 - The tennis courts were renovated and additional lights were installed.

Over the years, a shelter, playground equipment, basketball and volleyball courts, three tennis courts, softball and baseball diamonds, ice-skating and hockey areas, and wading pool were added.
